Two-days Kisaan Convention and Entrepreneurship workshop
Two-days Kisaan Convention and Entrepreneurship workshop was conducted by UAF Sub-Campus Burewala-Vehari on 14-15 May, 2016. Its primary focus was on creating awareness about cotton production, Mango Verities, Kitchen Gardening and Computerized Land record Management System. The chief guest was Syed Sajid Saleem Mehdi Shah MNA. The guest of honours were Yousaf Ksaliya MPA , Rana Tahir Kareem and Dr. Abid Mehmood DG Ayub Research Institute Faisalabad. The principal/Project Director Prof. Dr. Abdus Salam Khan presented welcome address. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (SI) also addressed the farmers. While addressing the audience, Dr. Izhar Ahmed Khan said that agricultural women are an important component of our society, under the umbrella of this project, they are in effort to empower them by providing field work skills to enhance their earning and to avoid health hazards. Dr. Anjila emphasized that women should raise their voices against violence and harassment at work place. While Dr. Binsih Asad (Food Nutritionist) said that the women should take care of their nutritional needs and also provided awareness to women that how they can manage their nutritional needs within their limited resources .The Principa/ Project Director Sub-Campus UAF Burewala Professor Dr. Abdus Salam said that agricultural women should be given equal opportunities and rights of development. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Nadeem Associate Professor, Sub Campus UAF Burewala also said that such awareness sessions regarding filed work and nutritionist needs can obviously assist the agricultural women in their socio economic and health conditions uplift.
Miss Saima Nazir Research Officer Sub Campus UAF Burewala in concluding session of the seminar said that agricultural women either they are related to maize production or cotton picking , or any agricultural field has vital role in country’s agricultural development and in turn economic development as well their empowerment is essential to for sustainable national development. In seminar female faculty members, students Sub Campus UAF Burewala, and the agricultural women especially related to maize production has excessively participated.

District Table Tennis Competitions Vehari 2016
The event was organized by District Sports Committee at Khursheed Anwar Stadium, Vehari from 20th to 23rd March 2016.Dr. M. Rashid Waqas (Director Sports) was also a member of District Sports Committee for conduction of District Vehari Open Sports Competitions. The event was also reported in several newspapers. In Open Competitions (Female) UAF Sub-Campus won all positions. AnumYasminegot1st Position, MahzaibAfzal stood 2nd whileRida Tariq got 3rd position. In Open Competitions (Male)Atif Ali reached semi-Final and secured 4th position overall. He was also named as the Top Emerging Player of the Tournament. He received Appreciation certificate along with special prize from DSO Vehari.Inter-Varsity Table Tennis Competitions (Female), UAF Sub-Campus Burewalawon 1st position. Inter-Varsity Table Tennis Competitions (Male), UAF Sub-Campus Burewalawon 2nd position.
