UAF Sub-Campus Burewala-Vehari Celebrates Iqbal Day
Iqbal day is organized and celebrated on 9 November around the whole world to tribute to Iqbal, the "Poet of the East" every year. The Pakistan government officially declared him the national poet. To commemorate the work of renowned Poet of the East and our national hero Allama Muhammad Iqbal, UAF Sub-Campus Burewala-Vehari celebrated “ IQBAL DAY” on 9november 2015 on the occasion of his birth anniversary. It was a 2-hour event, arranged at Iqbal Auditorium, UAF Sub-Campus Burewala-Vehari, where all the students, faculty members, and management staff gathered to pay a tribute to our country’s greatest philosopher, whose ideas and passion are at the very foundation of Pakistan’s existence. All the students participated in the event with enthusiasm and showed their love and respect towards the great leader. The Principal/Project Director shared a few words of appreciation by shedding light on the life and poetry of Allama Iqbal and explained the actual gist of his poetry to the students and other faculty members.
Visit to the Tomb of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider)
Principal/Project Director, staﬀ members and students visited the tomb of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) at Tufailabad Graveyard, Chak # 253 E.B on Sep 11, 2015. Tufailabad is t h e a b o d e o f M a j o r Tu f a i l Shaheed, Nishan-e- Haider. Visit to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed's (Nishan-e- Haider) resting place is a way to pay homage to a National Hero. A salute has been oﬀered right at the doorstep of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider. Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed was the second recipient of Pakistan Army's highest gallantry award “The Nishan-e-Haider”.
